Investigating the Relationship between Social Capital Dimensions and Job Satisfaction among Students

Abstract :
The aim of this study is to investigate the relationship between social capital dimensions and job satisfaction of students of Islamic Azad University, West Tehran Branch. The method of this research is survey and the data collection technique is questionnaire. The reliability of the questionnaires is confirmed using Cronbach's alpha method. The statistical population is all students studying in the faculty of Humanities. The total number of statistical population in this study is about 16,000 and the statistical sample is 386 people chosen by a simple random sampling. The findings show that 55.6 of the studied sample have full job satisfaction and 51% of the level of social capital within the group and also 30% of the level of social capital outside the group and 35.8% of the respondents have moderate satisfaction with their job and only 8.6% have a low level of satisfaction. The study of the relationship between variables in this study show that there is a significant relationship between the variables of job security, intra-group and extra-group trust, formal and informal participation and social correlation with job satisfaction.
