Online social interactions as connector to maintain social support of the homeland

Abstract :

The new technologies of communication with their capabilities have been able to play an important role in establishing, extending and maintaining interactions without considering the dimension of space; Reliable access, affordability and ease of use makes it possible for immigrants to stay abroad and their affiliates in Iran. This study examines the way online interactions and existing support in it with a quantitative approach and with regard to the nature of the problem by means of internet scanning through questionnaires. The response of respondents through telegrams and then other social networks such as Watts Up, Emo and Skype and ... are in contact with their affiliates, which interact with first-degree family members in less time intervals. People often turn around the "heart and morning" and then "counseling and exchanging information". People have a lot of dependence on this online interaction, and the closer they are to a person living outside the country (such as a first-degree family), this is more affiliated. There is also a great deal of security for easy access to online interactions.
