Abstract :

This research is about the effect that the change of governments and the change of political discourses, has had an effect on the cinematic works of the holy defense genre? From the beginning of the war until now, different governments have come to power with different views, each of which has had a specific discourse. The discourses that each had their own point of view on political, cultural, social and economic issues. In fact, the diversity of governments' views on these issues has had a direct impact on their view of war, as evidenced by the holy defense films of each period. Ebrahim Hatamikia, as one of the filmmakers of the holy defense genre, has studied the various dimensions of war in his works since the beginning of the war and seeks the relationship of the state with the phenomenon of war and holy defense. In this research, we want to understand what effect politics has had on the works of holy defense genre and to what extent have these films been influenced by the circumstances of each political period?
