Abstract :

AbstractThis research was conducted with the aim of investigating the relationship between the emotional atmosphere of the family and the development of social skills and academic progress of students. The descriptive research method was correlation type. The statistical population of the research included all the male and female students of the fifth and sixth grades of the sixth education district of Tehran in the academic year of 1401-1402 in the number of 4259 people. The number of subjects was 352 as a sample using Morgan's table and from this number (177 girls and 175 boys) were selected by multi-stage cluster random sampling. The measurement tools of this research were Hillburn’s scale of emotional relationships of family members (1964) and Karamati’s social skills development test (2016). The findings of the research showed that there is a positive and significant correlation (at the confidence level of 0. 01) between the emotional atmosphere of the family and the development of social skills and the academic progress of students.Keywords: Emotional atmosphere, social skills, Achievement of Primary1.
