A Comparative Interpretation of the Nature of Love in the Poems of "The Grammar of Love" by Qeysar Aminpour and "The Book of Love" by Nizar Qabbani

Abstract :
In literary poetry and prose, poets and writers have experienced and described love more than they have defined it. This subject has occupied a vast expanse of poetry and prose. Among them, Qeysar Aminpour in Persian and Nizar Qabbani in Arabic have each presented beautiful, literary, and subtle descriptions of love and romantic feelings in their love poems. The frequency of this theme in the poetry of both, on the one hand, and the numerous similarities between them, on the other, indicate the importance of addressing it in a scholarly article. The aim of this research is to find the poetic similarities of these two poets on the subject of love. To this end, two poetry collections from the two poets were selected, and using a descriptive-analytical method based on American comparative literature, the common aspects of the descriptions of love in the two poetry collections, "The Grammar of Love" and "The Book of Love," have been examined. Both poets have mentioned these common characteristics regarding love: ineffability, empowerment, life-giving, its necessity in life, and the role of the lovers' gaze in a romantic relationship. Furthermore, both poets have conceptualized the abstract concept of love in a tangible and perceptible form to explain it.
