Abstract :
Local historiography due to its title, has local aspects and examines the recent and distant past of the geographical area in detail and more precisely. Social and occupational groups in any society reflect the social, economic and cultural relations of their era. On the other hand, the social origin and job status of each historian, is influential in his attitude to social issues. For this purpose, it was necessary to analyze the social and occupational groups in Amoli and Marashi's works along with their roles and functions. The problem of the current research is, what have been the components of Amoli and Marashi in the classification of occupational and social groups? The research method used in this article is the historical method, and its writing style is descriptive-analytical. Information extraction has also been done in a library manner. The research result obtained in this paper shows that social classes are formed based on components such as blood and race, property and wealth, heredity and art or virtue and knowledge; and components such as politics and militarism, advocacy of justice (judgment), bureaucracy and administration of property affairs, weather or climate conditions; and the economic factors governing a region or the type of agricultural products and existing animal species, all are the factors that have formed job groups in Tabaristan and Guilan.
