Abstract :
The principle ofVezr (load of sin) is one of the deductive jurisprudential rules its meaning being comparable with the Doctrine of Personal Punishment in common-law punishment. Among the verses of Holy Quran which are the bases of this concept one is "No one shoulders the burden of the sin of the others". Based on the Doctrine of Personal Punishment only the person who has committed a crime or has acted as an accomplice might be prosecuted and punished and relatives and family members of the person being prosecuted are granted protection against prosecution and punishment by judiciary system. There are also some exceptions for this principle in Islamic Jurisprudence and the Doctrine of Personal Punishment.
