The Relationship between Parenting Styles, Self-Efficacy and Test Anxiety with Academic Successful and Unsuccessful in Female Students

Abstract :
Abstract This investigates the relationship between parenting styles, self-efficacy and test anxiety with academic successful and unsuccessful in female students. In this study, 335 female students were selected using multi-stage cluster random in Tehran, was completed self-efficacy questionnaire (Pourjafar doust, 1386). The parents of these students have responded styles questionnaire (Robinson et al, 2001). In addition, the students’ grade point average is regarded as a measure of academic success. The data collected were analyzed using progressive stepwise logistic regression. The findings showed that self-belief, self-regulation, self- assessment and father authoritarian style predicted 13% of the variance in the academic success and failure. According to the findings regarding parenting styles and students self-efficacy is necessary in improving academic success.
