Collective Teacher Efficacy Belief Scale (CTEBS): The psychometric properties study in primary schools

Abstract :
Abstract This study carried out to investigate psychometric properties of the Persian version‟ Collective Teacher Efficacy Belief Scale. In this study, 283 teachers from elementary schools at Sabzevar were selected in multistage sampling method. The instrument for data collection was Persian version of the Collective Teacher Efficacy Belief Scale developed by Tschannen-moran & Barr (2004). Internal consistency investigated by Cronbach‟s alpha and factor structure's scale verified with exploratory principal axis factor analysis and confirmatory factor analysis, too. Results indicated that Cronbach‟s alpha for Collective Teacher Efficacy Belief Scale is 0/93 and all of items have high correlation with total. Exploratory factor analysis with principal axis and varimax rotation indicated that this scale consist of one component that explained 59/70% of the variance. Also scale‟ confirmatory factor analysis confirmed one components structure that extracted. Findings of current study emphasize that Collective Teacher Efficacy Belief Scale is a suitable instrument to assess collective self-efficacy's Iranian teachers in various researches.
