Investigation and Analysis of the Mediating Role of Knowledge Sharing in Relation to Employee Innovation: by Structural Equation Approach

Abstract :
Objective: Innovative behavior of employees, especially in knowledge-intensive organizations, depends on their knowledge sharing in the work environment. This issue is crucial and contingent upon individuals' willingness and intention to share knowledge, as well as the methods and influential factors. Therefore, the aim of this research is to examining the Mediating Role of Knowledge Sharing Behaviors in the Relationship with Employees' Innovation and Creativity by Structural Equation Approach.
Methodology: The present research employed an explanatory and applied research method. The data collection tools included library studies and questionnaires. The questionnaires used were those by Hao et al (2013) for the knowledge sharing variable, Chang et al (2015) for organizational learning capability and organizational innovation capability, and Sheng and Chen (2016) for the innovation behavior variable. The Kolmogorov-Smirnov test was used to check the normality of the data, and regression analysis was used to test the hypotheses. Cronbach's alpha coefficient was used to evaluate reliability using SPSS26 software. The statistical population of this research consisted of managers, administrative staff, and county heads in public libraries across the country, and the research sample included 118 individuals selected through cluster sampling.
Results: The research results indicated that the influence of tacit knowledge on incremental innovation and radical innovation, and the influence of explicit knowledge on incremental innovation, were rejected. However, the impact of explicit knowledge on radical innovation was confirmed.
Conclusion: The results showed that explicit knowledge significantly influences exploratory learning, which in turn affects discrete innovation. The impact of tacit knowledge on extraction learning, and its effect on continuous innovation, was also confirmed. Furthermore, the results demonstrated that the GOF value in this study was 0.557, indicating that the research model has above-average fit.
