The Relationship between Personality Features and Resiliency with Sexual Compatibility in Male Married Prisoners

Abstract In this present study the relationship between the personality features ( neuroticism , extraversion , openness , agreeableness , conscientiousness ) and resiliency with sexual compatibility (sexual satisfaction and sexually being excited ) has been considered studied among married prisoners of Shiraz Adel Abad prison. Participants of this study were 150 persons (male) who were selected according to the stratified sampling. These subjects answered the personality features , and resiliency and also sexual compatibility (Linda Berg Cross) questionnaires. In analyzing the data , besides using ,Pearson correlation coefficient , simultaneous regression method and step by step regression . The results have shown that considering all the participants, the characteristic factor of neuroticism has negative and the characteristic factors of extraversion and conscientiousness have positive relationship with resiliency. The neuroticism characteristic factor has negative relationship with sexual compatibility and the characteristic factor of conscientiousness has a positive one . Also resiliency has positive relationship with sexual compatibility. As a whole the personality features ( neuroticism , conscientiousness , extraversion ) and resiliency were significant predictors of sexual compatibility.
