Abstract :
The aim of this study was to compare the lifestyles, defense mechanisms, and resiliency in couples on the brink of divorce and normal of susangerd. The sample consisted of 120 people (30 couples on the brink of divorce, and 30 normal couples) who were selected by Sampling methods available. The data collection of health-promoting lifestyle questionnaire Jones, defensive style of Andrews and Mvbray Resiliency Scale was used. This study was designed to investigate causal - comparative. Results of multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA) showed that there were the difference in the lifestyle between couples on the brink of divorce and normal. And the parameters of the components of spiritual growth, responsibility, interpersonal relations, and stress management were significant differences between the two groups, but no significant difference was found between the components of exercise and nutrition. Also the style of defense mature, neurotic and immature and resiliency are significant differences between the two groups.
