Abstract :
Belief in the wound causes people to feel anxious and insecure because they consider it out of their control. In this research, we will examine the effectiveness of reality therapy in reducing anxiety caused by believing in the injured eye. This study was quasi-experimental and was conducted using the pre-test and post-test method with the control group. 24 clients of Wafai Psychological Services and Counseling Office were selected by available sampling method and were randomly divided into two experimental and control groups. The measured instruments were the Beck-Rouan Anxiety Assessment Questionnaire. With this questionnaire, the level of anxiety of clients was measured. The results of the multivariate covariance analysis showed that the average anxiety scores of the experimental group in the post-test compared to the pre-test decreased significantly and also decreased significantly compared to the control group. In other words, reality therapy significantly reduced the level of anxiety of clients with superstitious beliefs about sore eyes.
