A comparative study of story and narration techniques in two versions of One Thousand and One Nights (Translated by Abdul Latif Tasoji and the newly translated version of Khorasani Bezenjardi)

Abstract :

Although all literati believe that the version of Abdul Latif Tsuji's translation in 1261 A.H. From the book Alf Laila wa Elila with the Farsi name of One Thousand and One Nights, it is the only existing translation of this precious book in Persian literature. Recently, another translation was published under the title of Henry's translation in 1223 AH. It was discovered by a person named Mirza Mohammad Baqer Khorasani Bezenjardi - translated in Calcutta, India - which was done years before the translation of Tsuji. Therefore, Henry's translation is the first Persian translation of the thousand and one thousand nights. The problem that forms the basis of the current research is the examination and matching of the differences and commonalities of the narrative structure of the two translations of the Thousand and One Nights, and the results of the research show that although the generality of the stories in the two translations is similar However, in terms of narrative techniques, there are obvious differences in the narration of the two translations.
