Designing a measurement tool for diversity management in sports and youth departments in Northwestern Iran

Abstract :
This research was conducted with the aim of designing a tool to measure employee diversity management in sports and youth departments in the northwest of the country using factor analysis. This research was conducted in terms of practical purpose and in a mixed method. The statistical sample included 15 experts in the qualitative department and 150 employees of sports and youth departments of West Azerbaijan, East Azerbaijan and Ardabil provinces in 2022. The tools of data collection were interviews and questionnaires, and data analysis was done in the qualitative part using coding and in the quantitative part using exploratory factor analysis in software (SPSS) and confirmatory factor analysis in software (PLS). Based on the results of interview analysis, a 30-question questionnaire was first designed, then in the quantitative section, using exploratory factor analysis, this questionnaire was summarized into 5 factors and 26 questions, and finally, in the confirmatory factor analysis section, after fitting the model and removing 3 question and another component, the diversity management questionnaire was designed with 23 questions and 4 components including fair treatment, active and obedient diversity, equal treatment and benefits. The designed tool can be used as a criterion for measuring the diversity management of human resources in sports and youth departments according to its appropriate validity and reliability. Identifying the components of diversity management through this tool can be an effective step towards improving their management attitude and productivity.
