Abstract :
Managers in crisis situations have different mental models, which are the basis of their actions when disaster strikes in the mountains. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the factors affecting crisis management in mountaineering accidents. This study is a type of mixed studies (qualitative-quantitative) and the qualitative part was conducted by interviewing 10 experts in the field of mountain rescue and relief. In the quantitative part, the data obtained from the qualitative method were analyzed using the exploratory and confirmatory factor analysis method. The statistical population in the quantitative part was selected using Cochran's formula, 320 people were available. The results obtained in the qualitative section showed that 18 cases were identified as effective factors in crisis management from the point of view of experts. Also, in the quantitative part, the results obtained from the Keizer scale and Pebble diagram showed that the 18 obtained factors explain a total of 74.56% of the total variance of the test. Also, the result of 0.439 for the GOF test in the confirmatory factor analysis showed the strong overall fit of the designed model. According to the results obtained in this study, the responsible managers in the field of crisis management should have the necessary plans and forecasts regarding the crises caused by climbing sports so that they can act faster when an accident occurs.
