Applying the best-worst method (BWM) to measure the importance of key constraints affecting the productivity of the women's labor of project based organizations

Abstract :
Introduction: The present study aims to identify and develop the key components and constraints affecting women's labor productivity, as well as determine the significance of each constraint in project based organizations. Employing women's talent and working capabilities can improve the competitive ability and achievements of the organization.
Methods: This research is applied in nature, cross-sectional, and descriptive. It was conducted in the Shiraz Municipality. After a literature review and consultation with experts, 41 productivity-limiting attributes were categorized into six main dimensions. Using the Best-Worst Decision-Making Technique, data were collected via a questionnaire distributed among 16 women from the Human Resources department of Shiraz Municipality, and the attributes were tested.
Findings: The results of the study indicate that among the main dimensions, the “Management/Planning/Supervision” dimension, followed by the “Materials/Tools/Equipment/Machinery” and “Construction Methods/Technology” dimensions, ranked first, second, and third, respectively. Among the identified attributes, the “Lack or shortage of materials/tools/equipment/machinery,” “Lack of modern technology and planning,” and “Low quality of materials/tools/equipment/machinery” ranked first, second, and third, respectively, having the most significant impact on reducing Women's labor productivity.
Conclusion: This research can increase our information regarding the promotion of effective indicators for women's productivity and the removal of existing possible obstacles. Project-oriented organizations, in order to improve their competitive performance and improve their economic incentives, should use their innovation capacities in order to use women's productivity more effectively. Paying attention to and removing these limitations can direct the project according to the previously developed schedule, in such a way that it faces the least delay and minimum reduction in quality.
