Abstract :
This research was conducted with the aim of explaining the relationship between social skills and resilience with students' mental health. The research was conducted in terms of practical purpose and in terms of descriptive-analytical survey type with a quantitative approach. The statistical population was 2462 female elementary school students in the 20th district of Tehran, and Cochran's formula was used to determine the sample size, and according to this formula, 322 students were selected to collect information from the GHQ-28 general health standard questionnaires, skills Inderbitzen and Foster's (1992) adolescents' social skills, Kalahanen's resilience (1996), Martin's academic resilience (2001) were used and distributed among the sample by cluster sampling method. In this research, spss software version 22 was used for data analysis. The findings indicated that social skills have a significant relationship with students' mental health with a coefficient of 0.272. Also, social skills had a significant relationship with mental health components including (self-acceptance, autonomy and personal growth). The continuation of the results also showed that resilience is related to the mental health of students with a coefficient of 0.270. Also, resilience components (social, academic and emotional resilience) were related to students' mental health. Also, with a confidence level of 95% and P<0.05, it can be said that the level of resilience and mental health of students can be predicted based on social skills
