Abstract :
In this research, considering the temperature requirement of rapeseed during the different stages of growth and the probability of occurrence of the maximum limit of the optimum temperature for the growth of the plant, the spatial distribution of potential and developable areas for planting rapeseed in the region of Bashet and Gachsaran in Kohgiluyeh and Boyer Ahmad provinces were investigated. IDW model in ArcGIS was used to zone the probability of occurrence of optimal temperature for the different stages of rapeseed growth. The probability of occurrence for each of the desired temperatures was calculated from the data of seven adjacent climatic stations for a statistical period of 30 years between 1370 and 1400. In the AHP plugin in ArcGIS, by comparing the importance of the required temperature for each of the growth stages of rapeseed and scoring them, the weight and the spatial distribution map of desired temperatures for different areas of these two counties were calculated and created, respectively. High temperature in some parts of the region can limit some growing activities of the plant. Imamzadeh-Jafar with an area of about 8932 hectares has the largest area with high desirability for the development of rapeseed in Gachsaran, and Koh-Mareh Khami with about 622 hectares is a very favorable area for development of rapeseed cultivation in Bashet. It is recommended to carry out more researches in connection with the investigation the impacts of other influential factors in order to develop planting of rapeseed in the region.
