Abstract :
Khaf city is one of the geographical spaces that has a prominent position and importance because it has high potentials and capacities and has more than 400 registered historical works. Therefore, this article has been written with the aim of evaluating the effects of tourism on various aspects of spatial-geometrical sustainability in the form of economic, socio-cultural, environmental and political sustainability in the border region of Khaf. The results of the research show that tourism can play an important role in realizing the biological-spatial sustainability of border areas, especially Khaf city. Positive effects include creating job opportunities, increasing cultural awareness, protecting the environment and strengthening international relations. According to the obtained results, a number of practical suggestions are provided for the sustainable development of the region. These suggestions include improving tourism infrastructure, promoting local products, local education and awareness, developing cultural and historical experiences, protecting the environment, and developing border diplomacy. By combining these solutions, it will be possible for the border region of Khaf to take advantage of the benefits of tourism and also pay attention to the preservation of the natural and cultural resources of the region. This article can help regional officials and decision-makers as a practical guide in tourism development and provide appropriate policies and programs to realize sustainable development.
