Abstract :
Resilience is an inherent response and adaptation of individuals and societies against risks; so as to enable them to reduce potential damages and losses caused by hazards. Therefore, the recent droughts in the rural system lead to the issue of resilience being considered an important and fundamental issue in the eyes of planners and those in charge of rural development. The present study seeks to analyze the role of social factors affecting the resilience of rural households in the face of drought in Rastaq village. The purpose of applied research and data is collected using descriptive-analytical method using documentary sources and field studies (questionnaire). The unit of analysis of the research is the heads of rural households living in the study area, 337 people were selected using Cochran's method. In this research, statistical and spatial analysis and Expert choice, SPSS and Fazi-Tapsis software were used for data analysis. The results show that, among the weights obtained from the pairwise comparison of the indicators mentioned in the resilience of rural households in the face of drought, the index of diversification of livelihood with a score of (0.093) has the most impact in promoting the resilience of rural communities.
