Analysis of villagers' livelihood strategies against Corona pandemic and its effects on livelihood resilience (Case: Oraman villages)

Abstract :
In this study, the main goal; A study of livelihood strategies adopted by the villagers and the results of these strategies in Oraman-Sarvabad county. The Research approach; is a mixture of quantitative and qualitative methods. Data collection was done in the theoretical part using documentary sources and in the field part by survey method. The statistical populations of the study include three groups of local people (300 people by Cochran method), development officials (18 people by targeted method and scientific experts of the region (12 people by targeted method)). Using inferential statistical tests (Pearson correlation, path analysis, regression analysis), showed that at a significance level of 0.001 and with 99% confidence with calculated averages of 2.63 and 2.72, the status of livelihood resilience Villagers in Oraman district are in a very unfavorable situation in front of the Corona pandemic, and the population of the villages and the number of households and the field of activity of the respondents are the most important factors explaining the living conditions of the studied villages against the continuation of the Corona pandemic. Findings showed that consumption of savings and sale of gold and precious metals in storage, increase of working hours, borrowing money from each other, change of geographical location of employment (temporary employment in Marivan or Sanandaj cities), membership in the villagers' joint savings fund, land sales or garden rentals, loans, immigration and virtual marketing and virtual handicraft sales were the most important strategies adopted by the villagers in order to deal with and adapt to the continuation of the corona pandemic and the spread of multidimensional poverty and deprivation in various dimensions; livelihood vulnerability, unstable and insufficient jobs and incomes; degradation of the natural environment and reduction of production; isolation of villages in the region and women in the field of employment and society; lack of psychological security and frustration for work and effort were the livelihood results of the continuation of the corona pandemic on the livelihood system of Oraman district of Sarvabad county.
