Abstract :
Sustainable livelihood approach is considered as one of the new approaches to sustainable rural development and diversification of economic activities of rural community is one of the basic approaches to achieve sustainable rural livelihood.Sustainable livelihood approach is considered as one of the new approaches to sustainable rural development and diversification of economic activities of rural community is one of the basic approaches to achieve sustainable rural livelihoodSustainable livelihood approach is considered as one of the new approaches to sustainable rural development and diversification of economic activities of rural community is one of the basic approaches to achieve sustainable rural livelihood Therefore, the purpose of this study is to investigate the role of diversity of economic activities in the sustainable livelihood of rural households with emphasis on livestock economics. The present research is of applied type and the research method is descriptive-analytical. In order to collect information from library studies and field survey and using a questionnaire tool in the study area. Its validity has already been confirmed by relevant experts and professors. The spatial scope of this research is Malekshahi city. In the executive process, the economic activities of rural households in 1400 for 2006 households were prepared and finally 322 households were selected as the sample size through Cochran's formula. Data analysis was performed using SPSS and GIS software and the results were analyzed through descriptive and inferential statistics using hypotheses, Mann-Whitney, Friedman and factor analysis tests. The results show that households that have a greater variety of economic activities are far more stable in terms of livelihood assets (financial, human assets) and have a more favorable situation.
