The effect of family support presence on the recovery of female patients with heart disease

Abstract :

The effect of family support presence on the recovery of women with cardiovascular disease in the intensive care units. Today, comprehensive care covers family and patient care. Based on the theory and principles of accreditation, Meeting as one of the patients' non-therapeutic needs, is a kind of change from a patient-centered perspective to a patient-centered perspective. The purpose of this study was to investigate the effect of family support presence on the recovery of women with cardiovascular disease in the intensive care units. Materials and methods: This research is a semi-experimental study. The research population was 140 women with cardiovascular disease in selected hospitals in Tabriz in 1395-96 were selected by objective sampling method and were studied in two groups of control and intervention. Data collection tool was a questionnaire containing two parts of demographic characteristics and a measure of the acute physiology and acute health of Apache Two. Content validation was used to validate the tool and to confirm the reliability of the Cronbach's alpha coefficient. Data were analyzed in SPSS-22 by using descriptive statistics, independent t-test, t-test, one-way ANOVA, Mann-Whitney and Chi-square tests. The results showed a significant reduction in the severity of the disease in the intervention group compared to the control group. The presence of the patient's family support in the intensive care unit can lead to positive changes in the patient's recovery process. Also, the results showed a significant reduction in the complications of the disease in the intervention group compared to the control group. In the present study, family-centered approach was used to raise the patient's and family's sensitivity to the disease and the treatment process. It is important to use family-centered interventions. Supporting families and individuals in the lives of patients can help a person to better deal with the complications and consequences of the disease.
