Abstract :
Entrepreneurship is a process with a vital role in the continuity of national and even international development. The importance of entrepreneurship is to the extent that economists recognize entrepreneurs as driving forces for the economic development of the society. Improvement of entrepreneurship activities of women is considered a stimulating motive to improve their economy and quality of life. The aim of this study was to investigate the factors influencing the progress of entrepreneur women in Mazandaran Province. 100 questionnaires, 80 of which were returned‚ were distributed among entrepreneur women (cities of Ramsar, Tonekabon, Nowshahr and Chaloos). The collected data were analyzed by SPSS software using descriptive statistics methods. Results showed that the majority of women enter entrepreneurship activities from 39 years of age and a considerable number of them have university education. Higher education gives them the chance to make wise choices regarding their benefit and move toward the progress of their entrepreneurship activity independently and consciously. It was also observed that women with work experience could manage the problems better and this helps them in their career promotion. Social factors were usually regarded as the reason for them to start their career. According to the demand for financial aids to boom their business, they need to take loans from the banks, but because there is still not much trust in their abilities in the society, they face numerous problems in this regard. These women need support and encouragement from their families, society and most importantly the government. In conclusion, the government should take actions to provide financial assistance for entrepreneur women.
