Investigating the Relationship between Premenstrual Syndrome and Tolerance in Predicting Marital Conflicts among the Married Women in Tehran

Abstract :
The main purpose of the present research is to investigate the relationship between premenstrual syndrome and tolerance in predicting marital conflicts among the married women in Tehran. The research method is cross-sectional analysis. The statistical population included all the married women within the age range of 25-45, who had the characteristics of the research units in addition to having the symptoms of premenstrual syndrome. The subjects were chosen by random available sampling technique. A total of 110 married women indentified as having premenstrual syndrome based on COPE questionnaire took part in this research. They were asked to fill DASS-21, CD-RISE-2003, and marital conflicts scales within a period between 7-10 days before menstruation to 2-3 days afterward. After conducting the research, the researchers analyzed the obtained data through the use of Spss software as well as the step-by-step regression method. The results obtained from data analysis showed that emotional reactions of anxiety, depression and stress resulting from premenstrual syndrome can predict marital conflicts in women at the significance level of 95%.
