The Effectiveness of Family Education in Cognitive-Behavioral Approach on Marital Adjustment, Resilience and Quality of Life in Couples

Abstract :
The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of family education on cognitive-behavioral education on marital adjustment, resiliency and quality of life in Rogan. The field experiment was a post-test pre-test-posttest with control group with follow-up. The statistical population in this study was 120 couples, Whose children were studying in the 97-96 school year and They were selected based on sampling and then randomly assigned to experimental group (20 couples) and control group (20 couples). The experimental group was subjected to cognitive-behavioral instruction in 10 sessions of 1.5 hours.. Marital adjustment (MAQ), resiliency (CD-RAS) and quality of life questionnaires (WHOQOL) were used to collect data. Data analysis was performed using multivariate covariance (MANCOVA) and single-variable analysis (ANCOVA). The results showed that Family education in cognitive-behavioral way has affected marital adjustment, resilience and improve the quality of marital life.. Also, the results of a one-month follow-up show the sustainability of the training effect.
