Abstract :
Adolescence is a period that is the peak age of tension for several issues at the same time; It means facing identity challenges, coping with psychological and social pressures, adapting to physical changes, physical appearance, peer group, etc.; The aim of the current research is the effectiveness of cognitive behavioral group therapy on coherent self-awareness and anxiety of secondary school students. The present research was a semi-experimental study with a pre-test-post-test design with a control group and a one-month follow-up period. This research was a semi-experimental type of research with a pre-test, post-test and control group design with a one-month follow-up period. The statistical population of the research was all secondary school female students in Nazar Abad city in the academic year of 1400-1401, from which 30 people were selected using available sampling method. These numbers were randomly replaced between the cognitive behavioral therapy group and the control group. Data were collected using ISK (2008) and Beck's Anxiety Inventory (BAI-II) (1988). Cognitive behavioral therapy group intervention was held in 12 sessions of 1.5 hours and once a week. Data were analyzed using analysis of variance with repeated measurements. The findings showed that cognitive-behavioral group therapy is effective on coherent self-knowledge (P<0.05). Also, the findings showed that cognitive behavioral group therapy is effective on anxiety.
