Abstract :
The role of employment in the dynamics of human life is undeniable. Women's employment can have different and positive effects have for women and increase their quality of life due to the increase in social interactions of women. Quality of life is a general concept that includes all aspects of life, including material satisfaction, vital needs, as well as transitional aspects of life, such as personal development, knowledge and health.Quality of life is a global phenomenon that has been raised in the minds of many people of the world in the 21st century, and in this regard, knowing, measuring and improving the quality of life and investigating its relationship with various variables is one of the main goals of researchers and planners in the last decade. In most of the conducted researches, factors affecting women's employment have been studied or the effects of women's employment on their quality of life have been investigated. Contrary to previous studies, the purpose of this study is to investigate the impact of the quality of life index on the participation rate of women in the labor market of Iran in the period from 1989 to 2019 using the ARDL model. The results show that in the long term, quality of life index including per capita income, literacy rate, and life expectancy have a positive and significant impact, while access to information and communication technology has a negative and significant impact on women's employment in the period under review.
