The Efficacy of Life Skills Training on Islamic Azad University Female Students’ Mental Health

Abstract :
The purpose of the current research was to investigate the efficacy of life skills training on Susangerd Islamic Azad University counseling and guidance major field female students’ mental health. The sample included 40 students that were selected randomly amongst those students. The subjects were divided randomly to two groups: test group and control group, 20 students in each group. The test group received 12 sessions of life skills training, 90 minutes each; while the control group did not receive any. Pre-test and post–test on mental health were implied for both groups. Finally the two groups were compared. After one month the consistency test was conducted for the both groups as well. T-test for independent groups and covariance analysis were used as statistical procedure. The results showed that there was a significant difference in the scores of the post – test of the test group in comparison to the control group. That means life skills training caused increasing of mental health in the test group female students.
