Abstract :

This paper presents modeling and dynamic analysis of a high-speed railway coach with the aim of calculating the critical hunting speed. A heuristic nonlinear creep model was used to derive the nonlinear coupled differential equations of motion for a high-speed railway coach. The degree of freedom considered for the vehicle was 21 (21-DOF). The derived equations were solved using MATLAB software.
