Abstract :
This research was conducted to investigate the effect of using rumen fluid dried by spray drying method on weaning weight and blood parameters and hematology of suckling calves. For this purpose, 12 infant calves with average birth weight of 28.04 ± 1.10 were used. Calves entered the design after colostrum consumption and were placed in two treatments: 1) control, 2) 1 gram of rumen liquid dried by spray drying method. Calves in treatment 2 used rumen liquid dried by spray drying method in milk for 60 days. The weaning weight of the calves was determined using a digital scale. On the 60th day of the experiment, blood was drawn from all the calves and blood parameters and hematology were measured. The results showed that the weaning weight of the calves was significantly affected by the treatments and was the highest in treatment 2. Blood parameters and hematology of the calves were not significantly affected by the treatments.Considering the increase in weaning weight, observation with dried rumen liquid by spray drying method, and this treatment is recommended at the rate of 1 gram per day.
