Abstract :
Floods are one of the most significant natural disasters, causing more damage to humans than other disasters. The purpose of this study is to revitalize vulnerable urban fabrics in Babol in the face of flood crises. The nature and method of this research are descriptive-analytical, and its purpose is applied-developmental. The tool for collecting information is a questionnaire. To prioritize the effective indicators for revitalizing vulnerable urban fabrics in the face of natural hazards, with an emphasis on floods in Babol, Friedman's test was used in SPSS software. The results showed that each component of urban revitalization has a different share and measure for neighborhoods with vulnerable urban fabrics against flood hazards. The results of evaluating the effects of physical-infrastructure-environmental indicators showed that accessibility, reinforcement, green and open spaces, and environmental pollution indices, with a mean above the theoretical median and positive significance levels, have a very effective impact on revitalizing vulnerable urban fabrics in Babol in the face of natural hazards, especially floods. In contrast, the indices of infrastructure and services have lower means than the theoretical median and negative significance levels, indicating that they do not have much impact on revitalizing vulnerable urban fabrics in Babol in the face of natural hazards, particularly floods. These results indicate that increasing attention to infrastructure and services indices in the revitalization and crisis management process in this city is among the main priorities.
