Abstract :
In recent decades, economic and social developments have resulted in a distinctive type of spatial organization in human settlements. Human settlements have been disrupted by an imbalance between rural and urban centers in various development fields, leading to polarized and unprecedented growth in some cities. Zanjan is one example of this kind of urban growth. The concentration of economic, social, and cultural activities in Zanjan has disrupted the natural hierarchy of rank and settlement size in the city. The purpose of this descriptive-analytical study was to analyze the spatial inequality in the provision and delivery of economic, social, and cultural services in Zanjan by using official statistics and data, and by employing the Guttman Scalogram model. Ijrood, Tarom, and Mahneshan should be given priority in future economic, social and cultural planning based on research findings.
