Abstract :
The development of technology and the industrialization of societies has caused the need of citizens to be physically active and exercise in order to improve the quality of life, and one of the ways to improve the quality of life in urban areas is the active participation of people in collective activities and in urban spaces such as urban parks. This article seeks to investigate and analyze the role of exercises in urban parks and its effects on the quality of life. This research, based on the method of data collection, is descriptive-survey and based on the quiddity of data, it is in the form of qualitative data, and it is also practical in terms of its purpose. The statistical population was the residents of Rasht city and the questionnaire was filled both online and in the field. the analysis of the collected information has been done based on structural equations model and by PLS software. the results show that the people of Rasht prefer to exercise individually, or if they exercise in a group, they prefer to do it with strangers. The importance of this research is due to the interdependence between sports and quality of life. Doing exercise causes physical and mental health and creates social relations and is also affected by these items. Finally, the components selected in this research have close relationships with each other, and it is true that each of them alone can have a positive effect on the lives of citizens, but in the end, all these indicators and components find their greatest meaning together.
