The interactive role of accountability and perceived control on job performance of Tabriz Municipality employees

Abstract :
The present paper was conducted with the aim of the studying the interactive role of accountability and perceived control on performance of Municipality employees in Tabriz. Statistical Society is all employees of the municipality of the city of Tabriz who were2488 employees. The sample of 383 was selected by Morgan table. The research method was descriptive-correlative. Data were gathered through standard questionnaires of; Hochwarter et al (2003) Accountability questionnaire, Tetrick & LA Rocco’s (1987) perceived control questionnaire, and Paterson (1990) Job Performance questionnaire. The reliability of the questionnaires was calculated using Cronbach alpha. Regression moderator and correlation were utilized to analyze the data. The results showed that, there is a significant and positive relationship between accountability and job performance (r=0/15, p<0/01). However, there is a significant and positive relationship between perceived control and job performance (r=0/29, p<0/01). Also it was conclude that, accountability and perceived control was not interactive role in predicting job performance.
