Abstract :
Urban space is not only a physical concept, but also includes the action of civic interactions and urban activities. Sidewalks, as one of the urban spaces, play an important role in promoting socio-cultural activities of the community. Pedestrian movement on sidewalks is due to proper design and cognition based on urban landscape aspects; Which increases perception, promotes identity and a sense of belonging to the environment and beauty. One of the recent developments in the new trends of world urban planning is paying attention to pedestrians and their needs as a forgotten subject is an important urban issue. Semantic factors affect social interactions in pedestrians and provide an optimal solution in this regard. Classification of components and extraction of indicators was first done in a case-based method with the help of available documents and based on information, and then with the help of structuralism method and based on in-depth interviews on extraction of indicators and theoretical components. Being sub-indicators of semantic dimensions and social interactions were discussed. Also, with the help of regression, hypotheses are tested and with the help of Friedman test, each sub-index is ranked, which in the semantic index of the first three components, namely man-made elements, use of the senses, natural elements and in relation to social interactions, the three components are urban space. Pedestrians, mental components, physical components have the highest score. .
