Abstract :
In terms of student numbers, proportion of academic staff to student, academic level of staff, proportion of book to student, density of students in each academic class, loss of education and average duration of education, Shahre-Kord Civil Engineering Department has a better situation in Technician degree comparing with Najaf-Abad one’s. Indeed, Shahre-Kord Civil Engineering Department has experienced a growing trend in studied duration (from 2004 to 2009) which sometimes has been due to decrease in student population and sometimes to increase in facilities. In terms of growth in non-academic staff, credentials of academic staff, density of students in each academic class, loss of education, average duration of education in degrees of master of science, bachelor of science (continuous and non-continuous), proportion of educational space to student (squared meter), Najaf-Abad Department of Civil engineering always has had a better situation in comparison with Shahre-Kord one’s. In fact, Najaf-Abad university has enjoyed from a soaring trend from 2004-2009. Both decrease of student population and improvement in facilities account for mentioned soaring trend. In terms of rates of dismissal, Shahre-Kord University has had higher rates of dismissal among bachelor and master students. In contrast, Najaf-Abad University has had higher rate of dismissal among technician students. Rate of withdraw from education was higher among master, bachelor (non-continuous) and technician students of Najaf-Abad university whereas Shahre-Kord university has had higher rates among bachelor students in this regard.
