Abstract :
In this research the extraction of wheat under cultivation Area , irrigated and rain feed , has been studied. Hamedan as a major wheat production pole of Iran has been considered. Using cultivation calendar and basic studies in order to find out the proper time for acquisition bi temporal Images of spot's satellite in year 2005. Sampling in three steps resulted to comprehensive information on the Wheat under cultivation Area. The present research is based upon studying the bands of bi temporal images and in order to take less time (shortcut method) we used no classification and components. This resulted to extraction of features in a semiautomatic model contrary to common vegetation indexes that use the reflected and absorbed bands in same time , this algorithm uses the difference between reflection in same band in the other time. The outstanding feature of this research is that we didn't use NIR band.
