Evaluating the Rewriting Indicators of Story Elements in Adolescent Mock-Heroic

Abstract :
One of the literary forms of humor is the mock heroic, in which trivial and ordinary actions are expressed in a noble tone and in an epic style. This style, which is based on critical discourse, offers a link between epic form and humorous content with a creative approach. A topic that creates a favorable attraction for adolescent due to their special age conditions, which are in the stage of personality formation. Although, unfortunately, not much attention has been paid to the unique capabilities of mock heroic in the field of rewriting adolescent literature. This article, in order to answer this need, has presented the capacities of mock heroic in rewriting for adolescent literature. For this purpose, the characteristics of adolescent development have been evaluated and the indices of rewriting mock heroic works, compatible with the mental abilities and perceptive capabilities of today's adolescent, have been summarized from the two perspectives of humor theory and fictional elements. In the end, the use of the developed indices in the analysis of the rewritten works of the mock heroic Mouse and Cat by Sheikh Bahai and Obaid Zakani is presented. The results show that the correct use of the satirical indicators of the mock heroic during rewriting, such as humiliation, likeness to animals, the heart of things, condescension and aggression can raise the quality level of the works to high and exemplary levels, a matter that if not followed it will work in reverse
