The Relationship between Development and Ideology in Iran (Case Study of Pahlavi II and Islamic Republic)

Abstract :
Abstract Although, development in Iran has been existed for nearly a century, but it is still influenced by state-run engineering approaches. So that development and movement on the path toward development as a strategic goal with ideological objectives were placed on the agenda and at the top of the government's plans with political ideology of the government. Looking at the history of the development of Iran in the second Pahlavi II and the Islamic Republic, which is emphasized in this study, one can easily understand the effects of the dominant ideology of the state (equalizing development with the concept of civilization and economic growth and calling the teachings and foundations of development as Western concepts) in both of them. Therefore, in this research, referring to two periods of contemporary history of Iran in the subject of development, in a historical-analytical method, the subject is discussed.
