The Impact of Public Policy-Making in the Area of Public Law on Foreign Policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran Abstract The Iranian government is considered as the main actor in the international and the domestic systems. In the domestic and international domains, it is faced with challenges and problems such as unemployment, inflation, and stagnation, and in the foreign domain, international and regional threats and specific issues such as the Joint Comprehensive Plan of Action (JCPOA) are major challenges. Therefore, public policy-making in the area of public law is necessary to provide solutions to domestic and international problems or to convert them into issues. Accordingly, the domestic policy and in particular the foreign policy should be aimed at protecting national interests, maintaining independence and territorial integrity as well as surviving all cultural, political and economic components. In this regard, the Islamic Consultative Assembly plays a central role in developing foreign policies to support international negotiations, eliminate international barriers and challenges, and to control the actions of governments associated with international and regional crises. This study was conducted in the area of public law to explain the impact of public policy-making on foreign policy. The present findings are aimed at enhancing the knowledge and raising the awareness of people interested in the law discipline.
