The Effect of Regional Co-operation on National Security of Islamic Republic of Iran; A Case Study: Relationship between Persian Gulf Cooperation Council and European Union

Abstract :
The national security is important element for any national units that are to defend itself against the threat of enemies. In today's world, there is a process of convergence between countries that constructivism theory can well interpret; including the convergence between the European countries that created the European Union and including the convergence between the Arab countries in south side of Persian Gulf that created the Persian Gulf Cooperation Council. In addition, the two regional organizations, European Union, Persian Gulf Cooperation Council have been working to establish relationships with each other in the field of tnergy, trade and etc. Also, Islamic Republic of Iran is neighbor of Persian Gulf Cooperation Council, and has relationship whit these two regional organizations in field of energy, trade, nuclear program and etc. and this relation is important for Iran, EU and PGCC. This article attempts to use the analytical-descriptive method, in the three field of energy, trade and nuclear program explores the implications of the relationship between the EU-GCC effects on the national security of Islamic Republic of Iran.
