The Ukraine’s Crisis: The Strategy of China and Russia

Abstract :
This research investigates China`s strategy toward crisis of Ukraine. In the recent years, China has had a remarkable role in international arena and has emphasized on a political and diplomatic solution for the parties in Ukraine’s crisis. Its main priority is the realization of economic purpose and has also tried to represent itself as being able to cooperate economically with other countries. On the other hand, following the very important objective of peaceful rising, China has found out that its advancement and empowerment relies on cooperation with the West and the United States. For this aim, it pursues the collaboration with the West and supports a kind of multilateralism including economic privileges outside the region and political and security concessions within the region. China and Russia are forced to develop their Asian and regional strategy. Within this strategy, Russia will pay more attention to cooperation with China. In this inquiry, the methods of collecting data, library study and observing documents have been used. The results indicate that Ukraine’s crisis resulted in much more strategic and economic closeness of Russia to China according to shared and conflicting interests and areas of influence between the two countries.
