Maryam Mehrpour [1] Nader Solimani *[2] Gholamali Ahmali [3] Parviz Sabahi[4] Abstract Politically, educational planning leads to the expansion of the vision of politicians and planners in the field of the educational system, creating a change in social structure. Accordingly, the goals of the schools could be achieved. The first challenge is to prepare a preliminary list of indicators based on which the ranking is designed. Therefore, the present descriptive-comparative study has been conducted to compare educational ranking policies in the United States and Canada to extract a list of indicators for designing a comprehensive education system in Iran. First, the ranking systems in the selected countries were studied, then the indicators of the ranking systems in the two countries were presented in the form of tables. The results show that ranking systems in different countries and even one country use a variety of indicators to provide a picture of school performance.
