Evaluation of the compatibility of Inglehart's model of cultural change in Iran (Based on material / divine index)

Abstract :
New World is faced with the phenomenon of date speed, meaning that events occur much faster than before. The rapid social change in different areas, are the characteristics and traits of contemporary societies. Over time, the pace of these changes has become faster. And now we are in a stage of life that a person experienced many changes in their life. These changes occurred not only in the field of material life and technological achievements related to our material life, but have also accused in wide variations in the human divine life, beliefs, values, norms, etc. One of the major changes, are changes in values. In recent centuries, the Industrial Revolution brought a stream of change and gave Western culture a new form. Over the years that pass over the importance of economic growth as the most important goal of society, currently cultural transformations lead to the industrial development. But manifestations of the industrial revolution, especially its material manifestations, is not confined within the framework of Western countries, but with its inevitable arrival to all countries and societies, it lead to different cultural experiences and in some cases led to common experiences. Iranian society is certainly not an exception to this rule. The present article is an attempt to compare, some aspects of the evolution of cultural values and attitudes of people in advanced industrial societies with similar elements in Iranian society and to identify changes based on the new index.
