Abstract :
Abstract[1] Use of salt and brackish water for aquaculture production is a growing trend in the world. There is also a potential source in North Khorasan Province, proper use of these resources leads to increase production per unit area and job creation. Therefore, the feasibility of rearing Oncorhynchus mykiss in cultural earth ponds North Khorasan Province using underground brackish water (salinity 13.2±0.3 g/l) in a period of 5 months, in 3 earth ponds was studied. Status fish growth factors include: body weight increase (BWI), specific growth rate (SGR), food conversion ratio (FCR), condition factor (CF) and survival rate percentage (SR%) was determined. In result, O. mykiss rearing could be useful in underground brackish water in this province, if suitable management and environmental conditions be prepared. * Corresponding Authors; Email: miladadel85@yahoo.com
