Abstract :
Abstract[1] Nephrocalcinosis is a chronic disorder which may be resulted in decrease in growth rate and finally mortality in severe condition. This is characterized by degenerative changes and deposition of calcium and magnesium salts within the urethras and collecting ducts of farmed and wild fish. Grossly the kidney appears swollen and grey in color with an irregular surface and a white deposit in the urethras. To survey incidence of nephrocalcinosis in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) in Beizas’area of Fars province sampling were performed in Beiza fish farm and 50 specimens of these fish were captured by random sampling. After cutting spinal cord, biometry and then autopsy was done and kidney tissue was sampling. Renal specimens were contained in 10% formalin and transfered to pathology laboratory and pathological slides were prepared and stained by Hematoxylin-Eosin staining method. Then pathological slides were considered. Between them no nephrocalcinosis was found but there were stages of renal tubular distention, Hyalin’s casts, acute tubular necrosis and increasing melanin pigment in some slides. * Corresponding author; golchinalireza@yahoo.com
