Abstract :
Background and Objectives: higher education systems need to be changed to meet a new era competition, quality and value creation. One of the main discourses in the Fifth Generation University (education 5.0) is new technologies and artificial intelligence in the growing industry, which is achieved by applying the Fifth Generation University (education 5.0) in higher education. In this regard, the aim of the current research is to design The paradigmatic model of change and transformation in Iran's higher education system with the innovative approach of the Fifth Generation University (Education 5.0). Methods: This research is based on the qualitative method and Grounded Theory approach. The statistical population included specialists and experts in the field of higher education, based on purposeful judgment. The sampling method was purposive design. The data were collected through a semi-structured interview in which the sampling amount was determined based on theoretical sampling and reaching the theoretical saturation. A total of 13 people were interviewed. Open, axial, and selective coding were used to analyze the data by MAXQDA2020 software. Findings: Based on the results obtained, this model has causal conditions; a transformational approach (technological advancement and global challenges 5.0) and student-oriented approach (fitness of students with the industry and expectations of students), contextual conditions institutional cultural infrastructures (attitude and cultural context and preparation of Institutional), intervener conditions; governance of higher education system (politicization of higher education system and policies of higher education system), strategies; Implementation of the Fifth Generation University (education 5.0) (development of technology ecosystem and innovation and Continual improvement process) and outcomes (renovation of higher education and community-oriented and entrepreneurship). Conclusion: This study showed that the consequences of implementing the Fifth Generation University (education 5.0) in Iran's higher education system are multifaceted.
