The Relationship between Social Capital and Organizational Commitment of teachers in Primary Schools in Babol, Iran

Abstract :
The study investigation the relationship social capital and organizational commitment of primary schools teachers Babol, Iran. To achieve this objective, the study applied a descriptive –analytical research method and two standardized questionnaires social capital and organizational commitment. The sample consisted of 180 primary school teachers in Babol, Iran. Selected through stratified random sampling in 2012- 2013. For data analysis, descriptive statistics and inferential statistics including multiple regression, t-test and Pearson correlation were used. The results indicate a significant positive relationship between social capital and organizational commitment 0.01 level of significance. Dimensions ofsocial capitalcan wellpredict thecomponents oforganizational commitment.Moreover social capital is able to predict organizational commitment components.
